Peloton Against Plastic Film Screening + Merri Clean Up

This is a multi-stage family friendly afternoon and evening of community environmental action, entertainment, and education. Please join for any or all of the following:
3pm – 5pm: Merri Creek Clean up with FoMC – meet at Merri Creek next to CERES. More details here: https://www.facebook.com/events/2559893087618385/
5pm: Group bike ride down the Merri Creek Trail and across the Park St bike path to Pachamama Wholefoods.
5pm – 6.30pm : Live music from local musician Henry Cameron at Pachamama Wholefoods to greet the creek clean up crew or any moviegoers. Special Event dinner and drinks menu available.
6.30pm – 7.45pm: Screening of Peloton Against Plastic.
7.45pm – 8.15pm: The film will be followed by a Q+A with one (or both) of the directors Paul Hellier and Jamie Lepre.
Peloton Against Plastic is an eco-tourism impact project and documentary that shares the stories of the people and grass roots organisations combating the plastic pollution problem around the globe, particularly South East Asia and Australia. This is a charity event with 50% of profits going to FoMC who are a volunteer org that clean up rubbish in the creek and plant new seedlings. Find out more at the event or here: http://friendsofmerricreek.org.au/

Details of the event:
Food: we will have a special event dinner and drinks menu available from 5pm till 6.30pm. We will be serving free vegan buttered + salted popcorn all night. Please note we are a working cafe and grocery store and will be closing as normal at 6pm so please arrive early if you would like to eat.
Drinks: Dependant on numbers, we will have a temporary liquor licence and will be serving beer and wine as well as kombucha and non-alc options all night.
Tickets are $15, ticket link above. Seats are limited as we do not have a big space. Tickets are only required for the film. The Merri Creek Clean up, bike ride, and pre-film music is free for all to attend.
