As we come into the warmer months, the produce we are getting in is slightly changing πŸπŸ‰ We now have beautiful organic mangoes, pineapples, papaya and melons, which are replacing out-of-season apples. Other new additions include artichokes and yellow carrots πŸ’› Eating according to the seasons allows us to eat a diverse diet, which benefits our gut microbiota because we can grow a variety of good bugs, instead of letting a few species take over. Eating seasonal produce also feeds our vital energy because the produce has been freshly picked and has ripened on the tree/bush instead of being stored in cool rooms for months and losing it’s vitality.
